The Spectre-1 is an on-demand

The SPECTRE-1 calculates precise locations from the GPS satellite constellation and communicates this back

using a digital cellular (GSM) network. It can automatically send this information to the user in real-time,

or on-demand when the user remotely requests it. The device is also capable of monitoring and controlling

non-GPS information such as asset theft alarms, battery levels, and ignition-based movements. With only a two-wire

interface and a low power consumption, this device can be permanently installed in any vehicle or outdoor asset for

which a 5-30vdc power source is available. Or, with the optional OBD-II permanent adapter, it can be installed without any

wire-splicing or electrical know-how. It can also be installed on a non-permanent basis and relocated between

multiple vehicles using the optional cigarette-lighter adapter or the optional OBD-II temporary adapter.

Power draw is less than traditional GPS asset tracking devices and the SPECTRE-1 will operate reliably even when

the asset battery is not being consistently charged. A typical car battery can power the SPECTRE-1 for 60 days

or longer with the ignition off. An optional back-up battery pack can provide additional power for up to 15 hours

in the event that the primary power source is removed. In this scenario, when primary power is reapplied the backup

battery pack is recharged and will be ready to protect the asset again for up to 7 years before needing replacement.
