This car was purchased many years ago in 1974 & just couldn't bring myself to sell it. It hung in there for about 18 years. And I took it everywhere. I has so much fun driving her. I see beautiful rides of all makes and models and they just sit. People I understand the value but they are just too much fun not to drive 'em. I realize the idea of owning a "Collectors" auto but please. I loved this car. It was reasonably quick & for a MID SIZE CAR, in those days, it handled pretty damn good.
The unfortunate thing is, it was parked temporarily, awaiting some body and paint attention in an underground parking garage. It was damp and the old girl just started rotting away. When I noticed this the car was moved outside and covered with a cotton car cover. And some damn tree started to grow right up into the gas tank. It was quite a site. Anyway for the time, effort and money to rebuild this wonderful car, I foolishly decided to let it go. I can buy one of these cars again but it will not be the same.
Now my son, Dustin, didn't think was such a hot idea since the car was promised to him on his 16th birthday.
Oh well I hope it is in GTO heaven with a loving owner.
