1979 IASCA Riviera

Pro 1-150 Watt Class

I don't want to be like everyone else. I don't want to use a Mustang - Camaro - Firebird - Etc. as a sound car. This car is great and room for whatever you want, although I don't really like the front wheel drive.

This car was built with the intention to hide everything. Some installations highlight certain product or techniques. I wanted a completely stealth look, I wanted the car to sound great & hit when it was desired. The MTX product was used throughout, with the exception of the 8" subs. All other speakers, amplifiers, & crossovers. If you haven't experienced this line of product, do yourself a favor, check it out. The MTX Thunder Amplifier line is one of the best products I have ever worked with. Very clean & power just waiting to work what they a hooked to. This particular vehicle has 4 - 8" 8 Ohm Blu Shadow Subwoofers (thanx Louie at Sounder Light) & 2 -12" 4 Ohm MTX Blue Thunder Subwoofers running off of one T240 2 x 20 Watt Amplifier. This car hits 130 db & I have never had an amplifier shut down. NEVER. The front end kick panels have the MTX BT5S 5.25" Combo kits. The pair work very well in this car. Although to my liking not enough mid bass up front. I am fixing that, this car is presently under rebuild. I am going to use all MTX Black Gold speakers. The kick panel speakers are individually aimed to the opposite head rest. The image in this car is pretty good. Although some judges seem to think low, left. In the rear for rear fill I chose the MTX Blue Thunder BTM54 5.25" for a little rear fill. To cross all frequencies I chose the MTX RTX03A Electronic Crossover. Very nice piece. Works well & will do high pass, low pass, bandpass & center channel. Very versatile.

I take my hat off to the dedicated people at MTX for constantly making terrific product lines. Great job guys.

The front combo kit has their own T240 running in stereo, 20 Watts per channel. The rear 5.25" have their own T240 as well running in stereo. Grand total 120 watts of great clean power. The car was setup to sound great not be a boomer. But it does hit a modest 133 db.
